slight surface noise

More record memories, I found this record somewhere and bought it. I used to skateboard to Record Outlet, purchase a record with whatever money i stole from my mom's purse or my mom/step fathers coke bottle full of change. It was easier buying a 3 to 5 dollar record with change rather then skate to tower and buy a CD.

I might have found this record called Slight Surface Noise at Record Outlet or bought it off one of the bands I saw. I can't remember honestly, I just remember getting destroyed after putting it on and all my friends wanted to borrow it.

I can't even find any information on the album, can't find any pictures of it. All I know is it's distributed by K records which was one of my favorites along with kill rock stars growing up. I also know that it was recorded by Steve Albini and the drums sound massive as usual. Those were the two reasons I bought the record in the first place.

I honestly keep writing about the records because I have to sit here as I record the songs. Any ways... more coming most likely.

More on slight surface noise. First of all, here is a bandsite:

pretty informative.

They basically sound like Shellac with unwound and fugazi together. The songs build up to screaming and go from minimalist to abrasive. The album was recorded in 1996, 2 years after Shellac released Action Park. One song is called 'i fucked your mom last night'.
