Twisted Mind of I and Fog Tiger

2 more songs from our soon to be released full length are posted here: www.myspace.com/snakesalivemusic

Twisted Mind of I was more of an experiment that turned into something. It was added late, but not as late as Camden. We recorded the main riff with drums 23 times and I wrote the lyrics as usual just before recording them. Then the guitar line just came to me when we were messing with the song and thinking of throwing it on the album. I threw a capo on the guitar and hit part of the main riff then just messed around trying to make the song sound unique from the other songs on the album. It's also very subtle but i pulled out and put in the guitar cable to the guitar starting and ending that second guitar line, something I think i picked up from Khanate I believe.

The next song is Fog Tiger. The layout of the songs is in the order so far of the full length as it will be released (some songs missing at the moment) but I mainly bring this up because these two songs we believe sound awesome together. The noise ending the Twisted Mind of I into Fog Tiger has a large impact for both songs as it's basically like a wave of fog and a light cutting through it in my opinion. Brian and I drive to work together sometimes and after Thomas brought this song to practice we worked together on the lyrics. This is one of those songs that has so much power that was unknown at first but is now one of the most powerful songs on the album along with Blackbird. The middle part is mostly just brian and i playing around with a e-bow we got him for his birthday and a guitar slide. Fort he album he held the ebow and the guitar was on the ground as i slid the slide up and then down, we tried it twice and he threw both on the album. The last part where we are screaming wasn't fully planned out it just happened where I screamed some of it while Brian screamed other parts of it. We did it almost at the same time, in one take as usual and it came out kind of interesting.
